Dream Organizers

Sue Hood is the owner of Dream Organizers. She is a healthcare professional and spent many years as a Senior Account/Relationship Manager for several major corporations. Most recently, she was a Senior Account Manager for a leading healthcare Information Technology vendor where she established, developed and maintained relationships with "C" level employees, (mostly CIO's) of major Academic Medical Centers to increase their business and to increase customer satisfaction. She created Strategic Account Plans to assist customers in achieving their stratgic IT and revenue goals and helping her parent company increase their bottom line. Prior to that, she held various Account Management positions with national Preferred Provider Organizations and early in her career managed the health plans for the largest federal health benefit plans in the country, namely the American Postal Workers Union (APWU), the National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) and SAMBA, the health plan for the FBI. She earned a B.A. degree in Psychology.
Fifteen years ago, she gave birth to a child with severe mental and physical disabilities. His disabilities were the result of a random gene mutation and for many years, the cause was unknown. In 2002, the gene that caused his disabilities was discovered and her son was the one of the first boys in the world to be identified with the mutation. Unfortunately, his disabilities remain permanent and severe. He currently has Progressive Motor Dysfunction, intractable seizures and is unable to walk, talk, feed himself and is not toilet trained. He eats with a g-tube and is on multiple medications.
As a result of her son's changing needs, and the lack of daycare in the U.S. for Special Needs children, she stayed home to care for him. It was during this time, that she developed the concept for Dream Organizers.
As a result of his needs, she developed organization systems to make their lives easier and to save them time. (These systems that are now the foundation for her Parent HMO (Home Medical Organization) service.) He remains the love of her life and she is thankful for the opportunity to learn about children with special healthcare needs.
Earlier this year, he stabalized enough for her to open this business. She states that she has been fortunate to have met some wonderful clients and to date, all of her business has been based on referrals. She goes on to say, "It's been my pleasure to help clients get organized and to make their lives easier through the use of my systems. I hope you will give me the opportunity to show you how I can make your life easier, better and more beautiful."
Keep it simple Get organized.. Make it beautiful.
